Please note: please make sure that you have filled in your study plan before registering for the language tests.

The tests you have to take must appear in your study programme (in Esse3). If there is a case of tests taken irregularly, they will be considered invalid. For the compilation of the study plan, you can consult what is published on the Infostudenti portal.

Language skills required

Degree in Vocational Education

Students enrolled on the degree in Vocational Education must pass an English B1  language test in order to complete their degree. You will be allowed to take the exam from the second year of the course (thus, for those enrolled in a.y. 2022/23 academic year, only from a.y. 2023/24).

You are also recommended to always consult what is published on the departmental website in relation to the language proficiency requirements for your course of study. 

Degree in Interfaces and communications technologies

Students enrolled on the degree in Interfaces and communications technologies must pass:

  • First language: an English B1 language test;
  • Second language: a level A1 language test, choosing between French, German and Spanish.

At CLA, you can also take an English B2 language exam as a prerequisite for admission to the Master's degree.

Degree in Science and techniques of cognitive psychology

Students enrolled on the degree in Science and techniques of cognitive psychology must pass an English B1  language test in order to complete their degree.

Master's Degree in Psychology

Students enrolled on the Master degree in Psychology must pass an English B2  language test in order to complete their degree.

Acknowledgement of language certifications

Students who have a language certification (acknowledged at international level as well as by the University of Trento) can send the certificate to the Academic and Student Services of their Department, in order to be accredited the credits related to the exam, without the need to take the entrance test/language exam for the first or second language. The certificate:

  • must be sent via the appropriate application during the opening periods specified by the Department;
  • must be in PDF format and legible;
  • when there should be no expiry date, it will be considered valid for 5 years since the release date;
  • must be part of the list of certificates accepted by the University.

For UniTN students, CLA organizes language courses that you can enroll in free of charge or at very reasonable prices. Consider enrolling to improve your language level or to learn a new language. 

Most of the language courses are held at CLA, in Trento, but during the year, and particularly for English and Spanish, courses are also provided in Rovereto.
