EMIT: English-Medium-Instruction Training (for Lecturers)

The EMIT project offers training specifically designed for Lecturers and Teaching Staff who use English as the medium of instruction.

Overall Objectives:

• To support UniTrento Lecturers in the use of effective English-Medium Instruction (EMI) methodologies, ensuring high-quality teaching in English.
• To improve the level of competence required to manage a course entirely in English, covering aspects from lesson planning to assessment.

Main Actions:

• Activation of EMIT workshops based on peer-to-peer (P2P) and blended approaches. The workshops are interactive and based on an experiential learning model (practice, reflection, feedback, and conceptualisation).
• Creation of a Community of Practice (CoP) for teachers involved in EMI to promote the sharing of best practices and didactic strategies.
• Collaboration with international experts in the field of EMI to guarantee the quality and innovation of the training offered.
• Assignment of a Digital Badge to teachers who complete the training.
