Workshop on Intercomprehension Among Romance Languages
Registration open from 10th February to 28th February 2025
Registrations are now open for the Workshop on Intercomprehension, Multilingualism, and Reading Strategies Among Romance Languages, organized by the University Language Centre (CLA).
Intercomprehension is an innovative language learning approach based on the ability to understand related languages without formally studying them. This method takes advantage of the similarities between languages from the same family, such as Romance languages (Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Romanian), to develop reading and listening comprehension strategies across multiple languages simultaneously.
This workshop aims to enhance participants’ linguistic, communicative, intercultural, and transversal skills, providing useful tools for academic and professional careers, as well as for traveling and communicating in multilingual contexts.
Participation is free of charge and open to both Italian and international students from all Departments, Schools, and Faculties, as well as PhD students at the University of Trento. The maximum number of participants is 30.
The Workshop will take place from 7th March to 30th May 2025, in a blended format:
- 30 hours of in-person lessons – every Friday, from 15:30 to 17:45, at the CLA
- 10 hours of asynchronous online activities on the Moodle platform
Registration is open from 10th February until 12:00 PM on 30th May 2025. To apply, please fill out the online form at the following link: https://webapps.unitn.it/Apply/it/Web/GoHome/cla/L_ITC_CLA_25
